How can I use tracking tools with my campaign?
Real-time analytics show you which marketing efforts bring visitors to your campaign page, which ones turn into investments, and which ones you might want to stop. StartEngine lets you connect your own tracking tools to your campaign page so you can measure every channel.
Important: Set up tracking before your campaign goes live. Tracking only records activity from the moment it's connected — data from before setup can't be recovered later.
Where to add your tracking IDs
Add your tracking IDs in the Manage Pixels section of your campaign dashboard. [Confirm current location and add a screenshot.] Some integrations are available only after StartEngine approves your campaign.
Google Analytics
Enter your Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID (it starts with “G-”). You can find it in Google Analytics under Admin > Data streams. Once connected, you can see visits and campaign events in your Google Analytics reports.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
Enter your Meta Pixel ID. You can find it in Meta Events Manager. Once connected, you can view campaign events in Events Manager and measure ad results, such as cost per investment, in Meta Ads Manager.
Segment
For more advanced tracking, you can connect Segment. Segment sends data from your campaign page to hundreds of other tools, such as Mixpanel, Salesforce, and Braze. Segment is a paid service with a limited free plan, so check its pricing before you sign up.
Gleam
Enter your Gleam Campaign ID to connect a Gleam social contest to your campaign page. Gleam lets you run contests and giveaways that encourage people to share and promote your campaign. Check with StartEngine or your legal counsel before launching a contest, since there are rules about how securities offerings can be promoted.
Tracking links (UTM parameters)
Create a unique tracking link for each place you share your campaign, such as each email, social post, or ad. Use Google's free Campaign URL Builder to add UTM parameters to your campaign page link. Visits from those links will show up by source in Google Analytics, so you can compare channels side by side.
