How much can I invest?
The limits for non-accredited investors depend on which type of campaign they are investing in.
When investing in Regulation A+ offerings, a Non-Accredited investor may invest a maximum of 10% of their Annual Income or Net Worth, whichever is greater.
When investing in Regulation Crowdfunding offerings, a Non-Accredited investor with an Annual Income or Net Worth of less than $124,000 will be limited to invest the greater of $2,500 or 5% of the greater of their Annual Income or Net Worth over any 12-month period.
If the Annual Income and Net Worth of a Non-Accredited investor are both equal to or greater than $124,000, the investor is limited to 10% of the greater of their Annual Income or Net Worth, to an annual maximum of $124,000 over any 12-month period.
How do I know if I am an Accredited or Non-Accredited investor?
An accredited investor is a person who has a Net Worth of at least $1 million, excluding their primary residence, or earns at least $200,000 in income each year ($300K if combined with a spouse). An accredited investor has no restrictions on investing limits in either Regulation A+ or Regulation Crowdfunding offerings. A Non-Accredited investor is everyone else.
Can I invest if I am under the age of 18?
While an investor under 18 cannot invest themselves, a parent could invest in their name by setting up a UTMA or trust.
