What is the JOBS Act? Regulation Crowdfunding?
Under newly adopted rules, companies can use crowdfunding to offer and sell securities to the investing public, and anyone can invest in a crowdfunding securities offering.
Since May 16th, 2016, the general public has had the opportunity to participate in the early capital raising activities of start-up and early-stage companies and businesses. Since March 2021, the limits companies can raise through Regulation Crowdfunding increased from $1.07M to $5M within a 12-month period using registered funding portals like StartEngine Capital. As of September 20th, 2022, the maximum offering amount you can raise with Reviewed financials by an independent public accountant was raised to $1.235M.
